I normally don't post about personal things, but nine years ago today, my wife Yee and I had our wedding at Disney World in the Disney Wedding Pavilion.  Reverend Jack Day, of ABC Extreme Makeover fame, performed our ceremony.  We had our reception at the Grand Floridian.  In addition to family and friends, we had two other couples in attendance: Belle and the Beast and, of course, Mickey and Minnie.  We also had Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast do a "Be Our Guest" floor show before dinner.  He was a huge hit.

More Details and pictures after the jump

To allow a break for the adults we had a separate party for the kids.  Several friends have complained that this had ruined all future weddings for their kids, who kept looking for story time with Belle, video games and basketball nets, as well as the Morty and Ferdy kid friendly food (bonus points if you know who they are).  In fact, a lot of the "adults" ended up playing at the kid's party.  After the rehearsal we all went to the now-closed Adventurer's Club, where we closed down Pleasure Island with hearty "CONGALOOSH!."

The Disney cast members were all very helpful and Chuck Rodriguez and his assistant Michelle, our wedding coordinators, were top notch.  They helped us plan our rehearsal dinner at the Tepenyaki grill and a dessert party on the Italy Isola, our own private island to view Illuminations and the various other Year 2000 Celebrations.  Moreover, because my wife is Chinese, they also arranged for us to have our tea ceremony in the Victoria and Alberts Restaurant in The Grand Floridian.  Finally, they helped set up a private photo session in the Magic Kingdom and China and Italy in Epcot.

Looking back, it was the perfect wedding (I guess the fact that I'm crazy about the bride helped).  From the E night hours scheduled the night before wedding to keep the park open for wedding guests (which we took credit for, of course), to the dove release, to the introduction of our bridal party as the Mouseketeers (complete with hats and our own Cubby), to the Pleasure Island fireworks; Disney made this "the wedding of the century."

Marriage is a special journey what better way to start than at the happiest place on Earth.  Now I have to go find out what a Willow is.

Enjoy the pictures.
