Copyright Gone Wild 01/06/2010
![]() Those great guys at Comic Geek Speak have had me on their show a couple of times to discuss copyright and character ownership. I also wrote a couple of articles on the subject, which can be found here. Inevitably, the comes up as to why we need such intricate copyright protection. So, in the course of my various travels, I came across some really bad knockoff action figures that demonstrates the importance of these laws. Over the holidays, I sent the geeks a care package with some of these figures. They opened it on the air in Episode 761. But, since that is an audio podcast, I wanted to post pictures of this horrible figures. The photos after the jump. ![]() If you want to hear Episode 761, 2010: A CGS Odyssey on Comic Geek Speak, it can be found here. you can also listen to through the below feed. They opened the package at 32:55, but you should listen to the whole thing because, like all their episodes, there is some great comic discussion. However, since you couldn't see what they opened, I thought I would post pictures of some of the things in the package (sorry for the cheesy plastic shine, I didn't want to open them since it would greatly reduce their collector's value. :-) Enjoy the photos. This is the sketch I sent: The figures: And the white house ornament. Comments Your comment will be posted after it is approved. Leave a Reply |
