
Brandon Routh (Superman Returns) is joining the cast of NBC's Chuck for a multi-episode arc. He plays "Shaw" a mysterious new spy who takes control of Operation Bartowski. He becomes Chuck's mentor and his rival for Sarah's affections.


Summit Entertainment has released some new pictures of the powerful Volturi vampires from the The Twilight Saga: New Moon movie. Dakota Fanning plays Jane. Michael Sheen is Aro. Jamie Campbell Bower plays Caius. They are pretty much everywhere, but I saw them on collider.com
New Moon is scheduled to open November 20. Pictures are after the break:

USA Today is reporting that Steven Spielberg will adapt Michael Crichton's posthumous adventure novel Pirate Latitudes, which hits bookstores on November 24. Set off the coast of Jamaica in 1665, it tells the story of a raid on a Spanish galleon filled with treasure in Port Royal. Spielberg has worked off Crichton books before with the 1993 blockbuster Jurassic Park and its sequel, the Lost World.

Stan Berkowitz is the writer of the Superman/Batman: Public Enemies animated movie. Comics Continuum has an interview with him here. The movie will be released on DVD and Blu Ray on September 29.

Bluewater Productions' has solicited a new issue of their Political Power series, which will feature the biography of Senator Ted Kennedy written by Brent Sprecher, drawn by Alejandro Figueroa. The cover art was provided by Patricio Carbajal. However, before then, in October, the company will release Tribute: Michael Jackson, King of Pop written by Wey-Yuih Loh, with art by M. Scott Woodward and covers by Giuseppe Mazzola and Vinnie Tartamella.

What Friday would be complete without some juicy Megan Fox news. MTV has an interview with Megan Fox where she explains that she prefers to kiss girls on screen. She explains, "I feel much safer with girls, so I felt more comfortable kissing her in the movie than kissing any of the other people that I had to kiss."
BTW: Earlier this week, Miss Fox was rumored to be cast as the new Catwoman. That rumor has since been been denied.
