kryptonsite.com reports that that the upcoming episode "Crossfire" features another guest star from the DCU when Oliver Queen meets Mia Dearden, a prostitute that he remembers from an earlier encounter. As Green Arrow fans know, Mia Dearden was introduced in Kevin Smith's Quiver run and became the new Speedy during Judd Winnick Run. She is one of the few recurring characters in comics who is HIV positive.

For those of you who thought Ryan Reynolds was a poor choice for Green Lantern, you are in luck. It looks like the film is having trouble getting made since the Australian dollar has climbed by more than 16 per cent since mid-April. The Aussie Inside Film magazine says that the production is now talking with government officials about getting more concessions. Pre-production on the film was originally scheduled for July and filming for November but script problems delayed the start.

MTV.com has posted an exclusive video clip for the upcoming film Zombieland featuring Amber Heard and Jesse Eisenberg. Zombieland releases on October 9. Here is the clip:

The Examiner reports that Emmy Award-winning director Jason Brown has shot a new documentary with MTV called Twilight in Forks, which examines the remote Washington state town, where the vampire film franchise, adapted from Stephenie Meyer's books, is based. The movie releases in September. Meyer visited the town for research.

Yes, I saw Twilight - my granddaughter made me watch it, she said it was the greatest vampire film ever. After the 'film' was over I wanted to smack her across her head with my shoe, but I do not want a (tell-all) book called Grannie Dearest written on me when I die. So instead I gave her a DVD of Murnau's 1922 masterpiece Nosferatu and told her, 'Now that's a vampire film!' And that goes for all of you! Watch Nosferatu instead!
